How often should someone with a borderline HbA1c (6.1%) repeat tests?

My recent HbA1c report showed 6.1% (pre-diabetic range). I am 42 years old living in Ballygunge. Should I repeat the test in 3 months or 6 months, and what dietary changes work best alongside regular walking?

For pre-diabetes (HbA1c 5.7 - 6.4%), re-evaluating every 3 months is optimal. Adopting 45 minutes of brisk walking 5 days a week, cutting refined sugars & maida, and consulting a diabetologist can successfully reverse this into the normal range.
